Ed Upenieks chairs the Litigation Group at Lawrence, Lawrence, Stevenson LLP on Queen Street West in Brampton and has practised as a litigator since his call to the bar in 1983. The breadth of his experience and his role as lead counsel on numerous significant cases led the Law Society of Upper Canada to certify him as a Specialist in Civil Litigation in 1998. He is a graduate of the Harvard Mediation Program. He spent the first sixteen years of his career at a Bay Street firm before joining Lawrences in 1999. His practice covers corporate and commercial litigation, real estate litigation, expropriations, partnership and shareholder disputes, estates litigation and the assessment of costs, acting for corporations, law firms and individuals at all levels of court.
